Professor Thanos Veremis discussed his book The Memoirs of My Father, with the students of the 1st High School of Tripoli, in the crowded hall of the  Public Library of Tripolis, in an event organized by the Filotechnikos Group of Tripoli, International Arcadian Society  and the documentary workshop “Make Your Own Movie” co-organized by the Municipality of Tripoli with StoryDoc. Students of 2016 met a student of 1912 in  an acquaintance that will get the form movie -documentary under the guidance of teacher Marina Rozi and StoryDoc.


Two and a half hours lasted the meeting discussion which was moderated on behalf of Philotechnicou the philologist Y. Vlassis.

Everyone, the organizers and the audience left satisfied.

Kostas Spyropoulos, dierctor of StoryDoc and head of the seminars, said that everything indicates that this year the international Tripoli Film Festival Arcadia Screenings, will have multiple interest for the local people because of the documentaries that being prepared by nine groups of amateur filmmakers from the  town, along with the students' film from the first high school.

7    The students' film narrates, with the help of History Professor Thanos Veremis,the incredible and adventurous path of his father, professor Marko Veremi from Zevgolatio Mantinia in Tripoli, from there to the University of Chicago where he studied Electrical-engineered and from there to the great scientific and business progress in States of America and finally in Athens, where he excelled.

On November 1st    the director, the teachers and the students of high school welcomed the Professor Thano Veremi in their school and delivered in a warm and touching atmosphere the gradebook of Mark Veremi and its records per year - findings that the filmmakers discovered in the General Archives of Tripoli.

Seminars Make Your Own Movie completed with the last 2 stations, first and second weekend of November. It is worth noting that the seminar organizers exceeded their contractual obligations as instead of three seminars organized committed five, instead of 3 trainers brought 5 and instead three cameras have provided four.
