How to achieve: With a series of training and production workshops
The 1st is a 2 days intensive seminar in Athens where representatives of the partners NGOs will be trained in the subject "Educate teenagers to explore and understand the life of the others". Teachers will be European experienced specialists.
The 2nd part will be implemented with training and production workshops organized by the NGOs, in their countries with the active role of the European specialists. The subject is to train selected, through public call, groups of 12-15 youth (16-28 years old-half men half women) - how to produce short documentaries by consisting mixed groups of production. Participants, with different religious, ethnic and social origin, will consist the teams.
Tutors from the leader and the partners will follow up the production of the participants and the final editing of the films will be made in Athens. With press events in each country, FB pages, and a networking among the participants will create spaces of dialogue and will spread the values of intercultural dialogue, democracy diversity and the improvement of personal development.

The main outcome: Public screenings of the short films in each capital city: Thursday, June 5, 2014 to Friday, June 13, 2014

Start date of the implementation: August 1st, 2013
End date of the implementation: July 14th, 2014

Needs assessment:
Youth, the main target group, are less possessed by prejudices. Wars, poverty and violence brought people from one country to others and from south to north. Euro med societies are treated by fears, prejudices and misunderstanding of the one group for the other. It is important to provide to youth opportunities to explore the world of others through cultural creation using the appealing language of images. A creation by young people is easily understandable by the youth and older people. The implementation of the program will achieve influencing the public opinion; promote the values of democracy and the respect for diversity. Intercultural dialogue will be reflected in our objectives that will have multiple recipients through public screenings across the region and via Web. Without this program the visual communication among the different groups will be let in the influence of main stream media which are based in stereotypes.

The overall Aim of the project.
To develop channels of communication between the different groups. The change is the creation of the space of sharing between all the different communities. The project will contribute in achieving with a cultural event–public screenings- hosted in 5 cities. The audience will consist an electoral body to select the best film voted like in Eurovision: the locals vote only for the foreign films. The stars are the youths using the most persuasive language: images from the real life of the others.
