A very intensive and productive workshop for development of creative documentaries completed in Ramallah Palestine on Saturday April 13 at A.M Qattan Foundation offices. 14 promising and talented Palestinian documentary filmmakers from West Bank and Gaza strip participated in this workshop with a variety of fresh and attractive ideas. Tutors were Ann Julienne /French Public Television Group, Maren Niemeyer/Goethe Institute and Kostas Spiropoulos from DocSocMediaMove initiative. Supporters are A.M Qattan Foundation, ARTE French, Goethe Institutes and AFAC. 
 
ramalladoc tutors        George Khleifi , was responsible for the public call, the development of the projects in the prior of the workshop period. With Joerg Martin Schumacher from the Goethe institute and Laetitia Pele from the French Institute consisted the selection committee and were the coordinators of the project - a well done one - with the closed cooperation by the AM Qattan managers and trustees Mahmoud Aboud Hashhsash and Omar AL Qattan. Story Doc thanks Layla Sayerh from PEN MEDIA for her contribution to Ramallah workshop and for the providing of equipment (cameras and editing) to a few participants to making their trailers.

videoconference      Once again the Gaza blockade brought a lot of difficulties for the participants from Gaza strip to be present @ Ramallah Docs. But thanks to a videoconference 2 ways offered and facilitated by AM Qattan the filmmakers from Gaza were participating.

For StoryDoc and it’s founder, it is the 4th year of a sustainable and continuing work for new Palestinian filmmakers and of the cooperation with the French Consulate, the French Institute in Jerusalem and the Goethe Institute  at Ramallah.  A few films came out from these workshops such as, AMONG OTHERS,  the awarded: The Infiltrators, Gaza Calling and Fatherland. In 2012, Storydoc awarded 5 Palestinian Filmmakers to take part in its Final Pitching in Leipzig, thanks a grant given by Hoenrich Bell Foundation. In 2011 Storydoc invited 4 Palestinian in Athens and awarded 2 projects to take part in Documentary Campus Final Pitching at Leipzig.
