Monday November 28.

9.30 Welcome and introduction to the second session of Storydoc 2011. By Kostas Spiropoulos and Tue Steen Müller.

10.00 Update. Guests present themselves & Storydoc participants from the 1st session brief about the status of their film projects and show trailers. Eventual new projects are presented.

12.00 Greek Crisis. How does it affect the documentary community? Are documentaries made? Is there an international interest? Presentation by Nina Paschalidou and Nikos Katsaounis.

13.00 State of the Art. Mikael Opstrup gives a brief on the critical funding situation for documentaries on the background of a discussion initiated on the blog www.filmkommentaren.dk - with a vision for the future.

13.30 Lunch

15.30 Arab Spring/Revolution Documentary Update. A panel with Diana El Jeiroudi, DoxBox, Syria & Oussama Rifahi, Arab Cultural Fund & Scandar Copti/Doha Film Institute. Madeleine Avramoussis from ARTE informs on what the channel has done and plans to do from the region.

17.20 Coffee Break 17.30 Inspirational session: Jan Rofekamp, Films Transit, one of the leading distributors, shows “Documentary Openings” – different ways to catch the attention of the audience.

19.00 Improvised individual meetings, including  pitch training.

Tuesday November 29.

9.00 Inspirational session: Storytelling in Documentaries. The film “Prostitution Behind the Veil” by Nahid Persson is shown and analysed to answer the question: How to build and develop your characters. By Niels Pagh Andersen, editor, Denmark

11.30 Coffee Break

12.00 Inspirational session: Two multimedia productions are presented that the Greek production company Anemon is doing right now: "Twice a Stranger" (forced population exchanges) & "A Balkan Tale" (the latter with the support of Goethe Institute). By Rea Apostolides and Yuri Averoff.

13.00 Pitching. Structure your presentation. By Mikael Opstrup and Diana El Jeiroudi.

13.30 Lunch 15.30 Channel presentations. Arte, Lichtpunt, MKRTV (F.Y.R.O.M), ERT, Doha Film Institute

17.30 Public Pitching/Presentation. The Storydoc participants on stage. There will be no panel, just one or two questions from the moderators (Mikael Opstrup and Tue Steen Müller) – followed by individual meetings. 10 projects maximum the first day.

19.00 Individual Meetings 21.00 End of Day 2nd.

Wednesday November 30

9.00 Inspirational session: The Essay film. By Truls Lie, editor-in-chief of DOX magazine and filmmaker.

11.00 Coffee Break

11.30 Public pitching continued... 10 projects. As the day before there will be no panel only one or two questions from the moderators.

13.00 Individual meetings with commissioning editors, fund representatives, guest speakers and tutors. 15.00 Farewell Lunch with farewell speeches.

16.45 Opening for the Laboratory for Greeks new filmakers, journalists and teachers.

Presentations of the projects and initial ideas by the participants in panel with Antoinette Spielman, ARTE, Diani Hasecic, Al Jazeera Balkans, Arianna Meidana, ERT, Gena Theodosievska MKRTV.

19.00 “Men Who Swim”, screening of film by Dylan Williams. In collaboration with CineDoc. At Institut Francais.
