'In a war, truth is always the first victim.' Greek philosopher Aeschylus wrote, many centuries back and until today, his quote stands.
'Shooting vs Shooting' is an international documentary that revolves around the wrongful deaths of many journalists and media workers in Iraq from the beginning of the war in 2003 till nowdays.
It reveals unknown sides to the facts, the responsibilities of governments, the atrocities committed by fanatic islamic
factions, while simultaneously displaying unique examples of courage, altruism and humanity that stood out amidst the horrors of war.

The aim of the film is to demonstrate how the Bush administration manipulated part of the media in order to make public opinion accept the necessity of the war.
Also how and why war coverage has changed since the Vietnam era and why journalists are being targeted and trapped in crossfire, when they choose to work independently and not in an embedded status.
'Shooting vs Shooting' is trying to make people realize that if journalists are not on the ground, war consequences and the drama of people involved, will never be known to the rest of the world.
It underlines that impunity is not an exception but regrettably the rule.
It took more than two years of research and filming. There are more than 60 interviews of journalists, media people, authors, intellectuals, family members being taken
in 9 different countries including Iraq, England, U.S.A, Qatar, Spain, Ukraine, Italy, Belgium and Greece. Also, rare archive footage has been provided by local TV Networks, individuals, as well as Reuters Thomson, Al Jazeera and RAI.
