20 January 2011

sexdocrockrollsheffieldStoryDoc offers to its participants a new opportunity for further and deeper development of their projects and an additional chance to meet the international market.

This year at the first summer  Sheffield Doc/Fest in June (8-12),  StoryDoc will be coordinating a Delegation to Doc/Fest and you can be part of it!

If you are not Greek but you have participated at 2055-2010 History Doc and StoryDoc workshops, you can be part of the delegation.

Over the past 18 years Doc/Fest has proven to be a catalyst for creative development and decision making within the documentary and cross media community, providing a platform for the leading Decision Makers and creative brains to meet and discuss future work within the intimate settings of the Festival.

At Doc/Fest you will find 5 days of packed conference sessions and discussions, including the Crossover Summit on the Wednesday, dedicated Interactive Media sessions on the Thursday, a day for crowd-sourced and crowd-funded content on the Saturday, and a day for social media on the Sunday. In 2011, Doc/Fest will be packed with interactive and cross-media activity, as well as documentary and linear factual media.

Doc/Fest includes MeetMarket, now established as one of the world’s major documentary and cross-media pitching forums. To apply please follow this link. https://sheffdocfest.com/meetmarket. Please note, being part of the Delegation does not guarantee inclusion in MeetMarket, it does however offer you extended opportunities to connect to the industry whether you have been selected or not to MeetMarket or the Film Programme.

Being part of the delegation will provide you with coverage in the festival catalogue, opportunities to attend the Round Table sessions, Speed dating sessions and Commissioning Panels.

There is the opportunity to upgrade your pass to a Mentorship pass which will provide you with personalised Mentorship before, during and after the festival by Charlie Phillips, Marketplace Director and Karolina Lidin, Executive Producer, MeetMarket and Industry expert. They will be able to advise you regarding setting up meetings and how to use the festival and your experience at the festival to the fullest advantage. They will also be available to discus your MeetMarket submission with you to make sure you have the best chance available to be selected to MeetMarket.
