For the 6th year Scottish Documentary Institute is organising the Edinburgh Pitch, Scotland’s only international pitching forum (18-20 June 2012). We've just opened our call for projects and thought you may be interested in sharing the information with your contacts.
We are looking for feature documentary projects with international potential. The Edinburgh Pitch is open to all film-makers based in the UK and abroad, and particularly aims at independent film-makers and companies developing and raising finance for creative feature documentaries (52'-90') and considering international co-productions.
12 participants will be selected and given the opportunity to pitch their project in front of a carefully selected panel of international and UK commissioning editors and financiers, followed by individual meetings.
In addition to The Pitch, we will also hold Docs in Progress sessions allowing UK and international filmmakers with a documentary at a rough cut stage to receive constructive feedback with focus on creative decision making and editing.
Online applications to the Pitch and Docs in Progress: www.scottishdocinstitute.com/apply/edinburgh-pitch/
Deadline for project applications: 16 April 2012 (midnight BST)
